Fashionable brands with a long history
Despite many years of presence on the market, some brands are still very popular. One of the most popular is Milka, which has been in existence for over 100 years. Chocolate invented by a Swiss confectioner quickly won the hearts of consumers. Initially, as with all chocolates, no milk was added to it, so it had a much darker color than it is today and a slightly tart taste. Milk was not used until the 1890s. The spotted cow on the package existed from the start, but the color purple was added in 1973. Milka in the 1960s was a leader on the German market. At one point, it merged with the Tobler company, and a little later with the coffee producer Jacobs. In the 1990s, the whole was bought by Kraft Foods.
Another giant on the confectionery market, which has been in existence for over 100 years, is Cadbury, which initially produced tea, coffee and chocolate drinks. In the nineteenth century, he was granted the status of supplier of the royal court by the British queen. Chocolate appeared under the brand's logo in 1849. At the beginning of the 20th century, another type of this delicacy was appreciated by the crowd of gourmets. In 1969, the brand joined forces with Schweppes, and in 2010 it was acquired by Kraft Foods.
The Nestle company, established in the 1860s, has also been producing chocolate, bars and other delicacies for many years. By the end of this century, it already had 20 factories and operated almost on all continents. The new product line - Nescafe was a great success. At the end of the 1920s, Nestle began producing chocolate. She introduced many innovations in this area - white chocolate or chocolate with air bubbles and honey.
Iconic Polish sweets that are always in fashion
There is no shortage of sweets brands, which have enjoyed great popularity for many years, also in Poland. The Wedel company Ptasie Mleczko was founded in the interwar period. After the tremendous success of this delicacy, in the 1950s, other companies began making products under the same name. For several years, only Wedel has the right to it again.
When talking about Polish sweets, one cannot ignore Delicja. Who hasn't thought about whether to eat a cookie normally or to start with a sponge cake and finally enjoy a jelly? Cookies have been present on the Polish market since the 1970s, and their popularity is not decreasing at all.
Poles are fond of various types of wafers, so it's no wonder that Prince Polo bars have been so successful. This may be related to the times of the Polish People's Republic, when wafers were one of the best available products and you could make many desserts from them. Prince Polo has been produced since the 1950s.
