The homeland of this unusual drink is probably the United States. Already at the beginning of the 20th century in the USA, the characteristic herbal liqueur was drunk in combination with an energy drink. It can even be seen in many American films. There is no doubt that Jagermeister's mix with Red Bull is an explosive mix. And in honor of this explosiveness it was called - "Jagerbomb!"
Herbal liqueur in the service of entertainment
Jagermeister is a German herbal spice liqueur. It has been produced since 1934. It has a herbal-spicy-bitter taste and contains 35% alcohol. Its recipe is noteworthy: this drink is made by maceration of 56 herbs and spices in spirit, and its exact composition is a closely guarded secret! Jagermeister is matured in oak barrels for about a year, after which it is filtered, diluted and enriched with caramel. It tastes best when chilled. And we're talking about a decent freezer, not a refrigerator.
How did it happen that the liqueur, the recipe of which resembles a health liqueur, began to reign supreme at discos, clubs and pubs? Well, it turned out that the herbal spice liquor is the perfect ingredient for many drinks and cocktails. And one of those drinks is a real bomb.
Showy Jagerbomb
What is "Jagerbomb"? It is an effective, strong and quite easy to prepare drink. You need two ingredients: Red Bull and Jagermeister, and two vessels: a tall glass and a vodka glass.
First, pour the energy drink into a glass. Then we pour 40 ml of Jagermeister into the glass and ... throw it in the whole glass! This is Jagerbomb. The fluids will, of course, mix, but the spectacular effect remains. Jagerbomb fans appreciate it not only for its visual effect, but also for its taste.
Dangerous fun
Unfortunately, from a health point of view, "Jagerbomb" is no good. Mixing an energy drink with alcohol is not recommended. It can have many side effects, including the death of a party animal.
What is it about? Energy drinks contain a high concentration of caffeine, which acts as a stimulant to suppress the symptoms of alcohol. When drinking Red Bull with alcohol, we may have the impression that we are not drunk at all, but in fact we are. Disturbed perception of intoxication can lead to excessive alcohol consumption and related undesirable behavior. Research has shown that people who mix energy drinks with alcohol are more likely to fight, suffer more accidents, and have more random sex.
A stronger hangover (both post-alcoholic and moral) or post-accident bodily injuries are one thing. Unfortunately, even without such excesses, the combination of alcohol and energy may turn out to be dangerous and result in sleep disorders, heart palpitations, brain damage, and in extreme situations - heart attacks and death.
Just be reasonable
Of course, observing the popularity of "Jagerbomb", it can be stated that these deaths and permanent health detriments are not frequent. Nevertheless, you should be aware of the consequences that may arise from combining certain foods. And when we are tempted to drink a risky drink, remember about alcohol moderation and do not underestimate the state of health - ours or our companions.
