Among the film hits, we can find many "tasty" productions - cinematographic pearls, after which the desire for chocolate or other sweets increases rapidly. Screenwriters even compete in creating magical stories with a hint of delicious additives in the background: from bars, through cakes, to slightly more sophisticated snacks.

Here's a rundown of the top five movies we think you'll never be surprised to hear from gurgling stomachs.

Chocolate 2000, dir. Lasse Hallström

Although Chocolate is now over 20 years old, it is still one of the "tastiest" movies worth watching - and not least because of the handsome Johnny Depp. The director Lasse Hallström has created a unique story in which realism is mixed with magic. Living in a conservative environment is not easy - especially for a single atheist mother. The main character, however, does not intend to give up without a fight - in order to provide her daughter with the best possible life, she opens a shop with handmade chocolate delicacies in a small town.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 2005, dir. Tim Burton

This is a must-have on the list of the world's "cutest" movies. The whole action of the film takes place in the eponymous chocolate factory. In the lead role we will see Johnny Deep, mentioned in this article, who in one of the interviews admitted that "I don't really like chocolate at all". The director Tim Burton - known for his quite specific positions - introduced us to a magical land led by the eccentric and at the same time brilliant confectioner Willi Wonka.

Recipe for love 2010, dir. Jean-Pierre Améris

And when it comes to the chocolate factory, it's impossible not to mention Recipe for Love - an extremely romantic comedy with delicious sweets in the background. The duo Benoît Poelvoorde - Isabelle Carré undoubtedly warms the hearts and cheers up the mood. A light, pleasant film about two modest, oversensitive heroes, perfect for a weekend for two.

Forrest Gump 1994, dir. Robert Zemeckis

Most readers will be wondering what Forrest Gump is doing in the world's cutest movies. Well, it was this production that became famous for the iconic scene with chocolate pralines in the background. The title character with the words "Life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you will get" quickly went down in the history of cinema. The plots of the Oscar-showered comedy-drama undoubtedly do not need to be told to anyone.

Mary and Max 2009, dir. Adam Elliot

At the very end, a specific item like "please write at least a short letter". Mary and Max is a 1.5-hour animation in a bittersweet atmosphere about a couple of outsiders who are connected by loneliness. The film tells the story of an 8-year-old girl from a somewhat pathological family who, while looking for an answer, meets a 40-year-old gluttony suffering from Asperger's syndrome. This is how the correspondence relationship between two extremely different characters begins.
