Everyone wants something sweet sometimes. Ukrainian sweets came to Poland a few years ago, and their popularity is constantly growing - mainly due to good quality at an affordable price. Among the many products and brands, there are a few that stand out in particular.

Halva is the queen of Ukrainian sweets

Sunflower halva is definitely a high position among Ukrainian sweets. It is used not only by Poles, but also by people from other countries. A very affordable price certainly plays a major role in its popularity. The main ingredient of this product is ground sunflower seeds. Despite the fact that it is a high-calorie snack, consuming it in reasonable amounts can provide many valuable substances. Ukrainian halva is rich in calcium, iron, phosphorus and protein, as well as folic acid, which has a good effect on the human nervous and digestive systems.

Sunflower halva is available in various variants - with raisins, peanuts, cocoa, sesame, vanilla or milk.

Rohsen - popular bars, wafers, candies and chocolates

The Ukrainian brand Rohsen has recently started to conquer the Polish market. Unfortunately, not all of their products are readily available yet. What is already on the shelves of Polish stores, however, has gained many supporters. The bar with jelly and chocolate and wafers in various flavors (cocoa, milk or nut) made a great sensation. When talking about sweets from this brand, one cannot ignore candies (Yogurtini), fruit caramels, jellies with juice or sugar or classic fudges (those with the addition of peanuts are also highly appreciated by Polish consumers).

Roshen produces extremely tasty, dark chocolates and chocolates with the addition of alcohol: rum, whiskey or more sophisticated drinks, such as cosmopolitan and margarita.

AVK - a worthy rival to other producers of Ukrainian sweets

For some time now, sweets from another Ukrainian giant have reigned in Poland - AVK. The best-known product is the Guliwer milk-coated bar. The company also produces high-quality dark chocolates that can confidently compete with those from the Rohsen brand. In turn, a delicacy for many children is Juveland jellies.

Richly stuffed candies in various flavors

Not only Roshen offers delicious candies filled with various flavors. In fact, their products in this category are losing the battle with the products of the Wołyńskie Słodycze brand. They offer candies with nuts and dried fruits, such as apricot, plum, black currant, cherry, peach and fig. The Meteorite candies, richly stuffed with nuts and honey, deserve a special mention.

The most popular chocolates

As mentioned earlier, dark chocolates from Ukrainian producers are very popular. What about the other varieties? The most popular Ukrainian chocolates are those produced by the Svitocz label. Their assortment includes light, dark, white and dark La Krema chocolates.
