Vodka is made by mixing rectified spirit with water, keeping the right proportions. It can be pure or flavored. It is an important element of many cultures, including Polish. It is difficult to imagine, for example, a Polish wedding without this alcoholic drink. You might think that there is nothing complicated in consuming it. It is rather common that people drink vodka not to savor its taste. However, it is worth consuming it according to certain rules that will allow you to get the best out of it.

A few tips on how to drink vodka to get the best out of it

Vodka is an exquisite alcohol, full of flavor and aromas. The most important thing to remember is the right temperature. Pure vodka should be well chilled before serving. If you do not want to put the entire bottle in the freezer, you can pour the drink into glasses and wait until a light frost appears on the surface. Sweet varieties of this drink can be served warm. They will work, for example, as a substitute for coffee liqueur.

Vodka is drunk "all at once", but the portion contained in the glass can be spread over two times, especially at important occasions. Do not tilt your head back and contort your face after drinking it. This is against the principles of savoir-vivre.

This alcohol is usually served with some snacks - cold or warm. It can also be served after lunch as a way to aid digestion. Its type depends on the type of served dishes, but usually flavored vodka is selected.

The correct manner of administration is also important. Pure vodka is served in glasses with a capacity of 35-40 milliliters (as a last resort, they can be on the legs). Colorful varieties are served in 20-25 milliliter glasses. In the latter case, the vessel should be filled so that about 3-5 millimeters remain to the edge. It happens more and more often that even pure vodkas are served in this way. This allows you to try more varieties at lunch or dinner.

It should not be taken with sugary carbonated drinks. High carbon dioxide content accelerates the alcohol absorption process. Better to choose fruit juices - orange, grapefruit or blackcurrant. It is good that they have a low sugar content.

The last important rule is to drink vodka or any other alcohol for pleasure, not to be overwhelmed. Moderation should be kept. Take your time and drink one glass after another, or mix vodka with other alcohol. It could end badly. And before tasting, it's good to eat a decent meal - preferably one rich in protein and fats.

But what if you go overboard with alcohol?

However, if you experience any unpleasant effects from alcohol consumption the next day, there are several ways you can alleviate them:

  • you should drink a lot of water,
  • it is recommended to take a shower,
  • try to eat something
  • a walk is also a great idea - fresh air will improve your well-being and relieve headaches.

Various types of tablets or powders to alleviate unpleasant ailments can be purchased at a pharmacy.
