Songs in alcoholic moods are quite popular, especially during high-spirited parties. Many threads related to it can be found in rock hits, but not only. Throughout history, both Polish and foreign artists have chosen to sing about alcohol.

Polish songs about alcohol

One of the most popular Polish songs with the alcohol theme is "Whiskey" by the Dżem band. Almost everyone knows the words in the title; in this piece, whiskey is treated as something that is a springboard from the gray reality and everyday problems.

This drink also appears in the songs of Polish rappers. In 2013, the song "Whiskey Haze" by the duo Kali i Paluch was created. Apart from this alcohol, the text also mentions vodka - "We have pure in our blood, and they have whiskey in our genes."

Whiskey is also an alcohol that is often used as a band name. Under this name you can find a musical group playing funk rock, as well as a wedding band.

There are also many songs with the theme of drinking beer. It is true that this drink did not go down as much in the history of music as other alcoholic beverages, but many bands decided to sing about it. One of them is BIG CYC, which created the song "I love beer". The title itself indicates its main theme. Moreover, the team has its own brand of hops beer - it is a classic, dark lager with a malt flavor.

There are also groups of musicians who indicate the negative effects of alcohol consumption in their works. An example is the song "A song for four beers" by KSU. The characters presented in it are people with no prospects who have become addicted and are unable to cope with it, and the only thing left for them is to sit in a bar with a mug of beer.

Alcohols in foreign songs

Foreign bands also do not limit themselves to one type of alcohol in their songs. Some people sing about whiskey, others about beer. As for the first drink, it should be said about the very popular band Metallica and their song "Whiskey in The Jar". The original version was created by the Thin Lizzy group, but Metallica made it famous. Most people have certainly heard this piece of music at least once. The band The Doors and "Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar)" also sang about whiskey.

However, if someone prefers a bit lighter songs, he can listen to one of the most famous blues pieces in the world, where the topic of alcohol is also present. John Lee Hooker in the song "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" presents the story of an unhappy man who gets drunk in a bar after his beloved has passed away, ordering all the title drinks.

There was also beer in foreign songs. An example may be the previously mentioned band The Doors and the song "Roadhouse Blues", where they mention how, after an all-night party, you have to start the next day with a beer.
